WE NEED YOUR HELP...

We need your support to protect our community against the threat of rising antisemitism in Victoria.

The numbers speak for themselves… since October 7, there have been more than 475 reported antisemitic incidents in Victoria, compared to 99 incidents over the same period in the previous year, reflecting a 382% rise. This has resulted in a 70% increase in protection by CSG for community events since October 7.

As the threats have grown more complex and become more sophisticated in nature, the security needs of the community have increased significantly. In response, CSG's capabilities have expanded to effectively identify and counter these threats. CSG has launched numerous new security initiatives and is collaborating with community organisations to ensure appropriate levels of security are in place.

Your financial contribution is crucial to meet the increasing demands of these challenging times. The expanded scope of CSG initiatives includes:

  • Crisis and security training made available for Maccabi Victoria and AJAX staff, volunteers, participants and parents.
  • Collaborating with AUJS to support university students, CSG recently provided training and assistance to over 200 students and family members in addressing antisemitism on campus. This training encompassed not only security measures but also expert mental health guidance.
  • Development and delivery of tailored community leadership Crisis Masterclasses, designed to equip established and emerging leaders with the skills needed for improved resilience and crisis management.
  • Security Operations Centre staffed daily with trained professional to ensure effective monitoring of all community installations.
  • Providing security consultation to Jewish community facilities to support them in the enhancement of their key security measures.
  • Hiring, training and equipping more staff and volunteers to strengthen our operational capacity.
  • Investing in advanced technology to improve our monitoring and response systems.
  • Coordinating the growing number of volunteers dedicated to protecting our community.

Investing in these initiatives has allowed the CSG to scale up to meet the community's increasing security needs and respond to new challenges since the 7th of October, but this is just the beginning of the need to scale up deliver on our mission of ensuring the protection of Jewish life and Jewish way of life.

We need the community to support us so that we can support the community! Please donate today.
